This HH is my go to pizza joint. Hands down, imo, the best of the Detroit/Michigan based chains. I love every item that I've ever ordered here, with zero complaints. Just tried the Cinnamon Howie Bread and can't stop going back for more. If it cools down, just pop in the Microwave or toaster oven and it's perfect.

the Asiago Howie Bread was made perfectly to order but the Howie Special was very under cooked almost raw dough in the center

Thank you H.H. & D.D.!!!! Amazing bite and still my favorite place to order pizza and subs from. My go to is the Bacon Cheddar Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger Pizza & Steak and Cheese Sub. It might sound Wacky but for 35+ years I've proudly touted Hungry Howie's as the Pizza and Sub chain we are gonna order from anytime someone says let's get some pizza. Much like when you call a close relative or girlfriend all the time, the phone number for Hungry Howie's became another series of numbers I subconsciously memorized. The repetition of dialing specific numbers followed by the reward scenario of enjoying my favorite food most likely caused some moderate involuntary muscle memory movements for me. Looking back, for more than half my life I would frequently call Hungry Howie'js by mistake and have to apologize and hang up abruptly. I remember that If I wasn't very careful to pay close attention to the numbers I originally intended to dial on the phone my subconscious was ready to take over and call the pizza guy. Today, I no longer fear dialing the wrong number and the common occurrences and guaranteed embarrassment that once followed the never forgiven efforts of this young man's apologies are long over. Thankfully the inadvertent or subconscious calling hasn't happened in years. Instead I get my food order placed in seconds using Door Dash. The App is great and I love the convenience it offers me. I don't have to worry about finding an old menu, or knowing the right phone number, or being surprised by the total amount, or even if I have enough cash on hand, because now I simply pay for the food and add the tip for my driver using Door Dash. 🍕👍👍😁😁🥖👍👍😁😁🚘👍👍😁😁🙋

The Baked Penne Pasta came with no sauce. it was just plain pasta with baked cheese.... so dry....unable to eat this!
