• DoorDash orderAbsolutely my fav Jamaican restaurant. The food is always amazing & not too expensive for good size portions. My family & I always get food from here because our kids can't get enough of Curry Chicken! Highly recommend!

• DoorDash orderI love Irie Caribbean! Always fresh & delicious food! The Side Oxtail is always soft & the Curry Chicken Entree (Large) has such big portions for the costs.

• DoorDash orderCurry Goat & Jerk Chicken Combo is highly recommended. Goat was tender and flavorful. Jerk chicken was succulent and delicious, along with the delectable Veggie Chickpea Roti. My son, who is not a big veggie fan asked for more Roti, even after being filled from a previous meal. We'll most definitely be back!

• DoorDash orderAlways top tier ! Meat is fall off the bone tender and seasoned to perfection. Never a dry grain of rice. Best flavored rice & peas I've had in VA. I usually get the curry chicken and jerk chicken with a side of oxtails. My daughter loves the curry goat combo. Lunch & kids options are so well done & much appreciated. I highly recommend, & if you're thinking of trying it- you won't be disappointed!

• DoorDash orderThis was my second time trying Irie Caribbean Restaurant — the first time I dined in, and the food was solid, authentic Jamaican flavor. Today, I decided to order through DoorDash, which I usually avoid with Caribbean food because of how greasy and saucy it tends to be. But I gave it a shot since I was on the go.
I ordered the jerk chicken lunch, a side beef patty, oxtails, and some roti skin . Let me start by saying the food itself? Still flavorful. The beef patty was a standout — packed with bold, delicious flavor and some real heat. If you’re not used to spicy food, have some water ready. But if you enjoy a little kick, you’ll love it.
Now, the main issue for me was the presentation and packaging. The oxtails, while tasty, were packed in a way that caused the grease and juices to leak through the bag — to the point where it almost burst open. I literally had to throw out a whole trash bag because of the mess. That really took away from the experience.
I get that delivery comes with limitations, but for a restaurant serving rich, saucy dishes, a better container — something secure and leak-proof — would go a long way. The flavors are there. The food is solid. But packaging and presentation need some love.
Overall, I’d give Irie a 3.5 out of 5. I’d still recommend them, especially if you’re dining in. But if you’re ordering delivery, just be mindful of the mess potential. Hopefully they’ll make some improvements, because I’d love to order again without the cleanup.
