This may be my new favorite breakfast place! Portion sizes are huge, there's no excessive packaging, biscuits and gravy is phenomenal, bacon is thick cut and eggs are cooked as requested. The best part of this place is that you can tell everything is cooked and packaged with care.

Some of the best soul food I've ever had please try the fried fish, shrimp, and crab cakes! Portions are worth the price. Everything is cooked to perfection and freshly made, I will definitely be getting this again. Greens and Mac were top tier I love Jo'Ellens

i keep giving it a try but only once have they done we right the Fried Chicken i got was burn and dry , its usually great but for the price im not happy the yams are not as soft as usual and the mac is so soupy the portions are smaller on my chicken plate just disa

The first time I ordered from here almost a year ago, I was highly impressed. But today's food was okay and definitely overpriced. There were 6 Mac & Cheese Mac & Cheese Bites (I ate 3 before remembering to take a pic - I was HONGRY!); they were really bland and not warm at all. The BBQ ranch dipping sauce gave them a little flavor but not $10 worth. The Fried Deviled Eggs still had a little warmth left in them, but they were rubbery and the "fried" part was falling off. They had more flavor than the Mac & Cheese Mac & Cheese Bites but didnt hold a candle to the order of them that I had last year. For $2 an egg, I expected them to be the amazing creations I'd tasted before but they fell extremely short this time. The Shrimp & Grits Brunch was the best part of the meal. I love the andouille in there with the shrimp, and the grits were creamy and delicious. This dish saved the whole meal. I would've only given 3 stars if it weren't for the Shrimp & Grits Brunch.

if you're in the mood for comfort food, this is not a bad choice. not enough seasoning for our taste but I was not disappointed. black eyed peas, greens & Macaroni & Cheese were more than edible but need more salt & a sharper cheese. I did like the Homestyle Meatloaf because the portion was generous. the crowning keep was the yeast roll. perfect. pretty good meal. a 3 base hit, just not not out of the park.
