The chef salad is perfection. I love the amount of protein and everything is already cut up like I want it.

The grilled Chicken Sandwich, Grilled Chicken is very good, but the sandwich was a little bit dry, it needs some Mayo or honey mustard. It says it comes with mustard on it. But mine didn't seem to have any. Their potato salad is excellent. It's consistently good. I really like their chili, especially when they make it nice and thick. It's traditional Texas Chili with no beans and when they make it really well, you can eat it with a fork, it's so thick and meaty, but it's inconsistent, sometimes it's too soupy. And then other times it's thicker. I wish they would make it thick all the time. I ordered the fruit as my side with my sandwich, and the fruit was excellent. It wasn't just your typical fruit salad. It was all fresh cut; cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple, red grapes, a bit of apple (maybe?), cut strawberries, and my favorite...raspberries! Overall, I really enjoy McAllister's, and there aren't many real delis in the area. They have a great selection of food and baked goods.
