It all started in 1956 from a small Texas storefront in the Oak Cliff neighborhood just outside downtown Dallas along historic US Highway 80. With a menu that reminds you of home and servers who know …
We wanted to eat something different besides pizza, chinese, etc and wanted good old comfort food! I love Norma's big portions (You have to try some breakfast plates). Chicken Fried Steak, homemade mash potatoes, etc, just hit the spot! Daughter loved her double bacon cheeseburger! Wife loved her grilled chicken salad. Some restaurants skimp on the chicken but not Normas! Huge Texas-Sized Cinnamon Roll with lots of glazed sugar was good. I ordered it so I could enjoy some with my coffee tomorrow morning.

this is my new favorite spot
and did it hit the spot..
from the generous portion size to hot hot hot temp of each piece--- best part about the plate: of all the individual ingredients, all aspects were incorporated in the dishes with precision, done in love; actual CHUNKS of meat in greens, handpeeled mash potatoes. as for taste? euphoric.
those aspects are what firmly establishes a restaurant in ones memory. ---specifically in a business where few are not desperately in need of a renaissance.

I love Norma's! One of my fave restaurants on Door Dash. All their food I've had over the years has been excellent.
Their Breakfast Tacos are some of the best I've ever had..and that includes ones in LA and Austin! So good and a fantastic value .
