I've always been a bit of a KFC loyalist, but I think I like Popeye's better for a couple of reasons. First, although their chicken peices seem to have less meat to them, their breading is much less greasy, much lighter, and more crispy. It's seasoned well, too. Also, they use real potatoes as opposed to the ersatz potatoes you get with KFC, or at least what they use tastes a lot more real. The gravy is more flavorful as well. And even though the mac and cheese is still nowhere near what you'd make yourself, it's still better than KFC. T
I think I still like KFC's biscuits better, but these were pretty good too.

The coke was cold and refreshing. The cajan fries had just the right amount of spice. I really like coleslaw and it was delicious. What can I say about the chicken? The skin was soggy, the meat was inedible, and there were little hard pieces in it. I tried to chew it but it was hard and only big chucks came off that weren't chewable. Bottom line, I just paid $29.04 for coke, fries and coleslaw. This is the first and last time I'll try Popeye's.

surf & turf was more than enough.
Chicken was moist; shrimp was tender. Mashed potatoes were delicious; all with a Cajun kick. Biscuit was moist and tender.

The Ghost Pepper Sandwich was far from spicy. The New! 6 Classic Boneless Wings had barely any sauce on them. Got the wrong dipping sauce. I really just should have went to Wendy's if I wanted a spicy CRISPY chicken sandwich.
