Tbh the ramen was pretty meh. Very little flavor to the food and noodles were cheap. Also the "OG" ramen i got only has noodles, pork, and mushrooms in the ramen lol , Idk it was okay but it was very bland. Ive had almost every ramen place in this town and this has been the most flavorless ...hopefully it was a one time situation.

Wow!! So decided to try this place again as they were my second favorite ramen spot in Houston after trying dozens. Got the OG last time and it was pretty good but not the best but this time we got the popular #4 MI-SO-HOT (Tonkotsu) and it was amazing!

I got the Ol'Skool. omitted pork. added brown butter corn and Karaage it's fried chicken and spicy bomb. It was good and spicy. And of course the karaage was good it was fried chicken pieces with dip. Ramen Tatsu-Ya lived up to it's hype.

Ramen Tatsu-Ya has been a favorite of mine for a few years now, and I've always dined in-person at their restaurant. Today I decided to order takeout, and the Tonkotsu was just not it today. The chasu which is normally amazingly tender was tough to chew, and the tonkotsu broth had an almost soapy aftertaste to it? The ajitama was good at least.
If this was any other restaurant, I would have given less stars. However, I know Ramen Tatsu-Ya is normally committed to quality, so today just may be a weird miss.
