This is my first time eating at this establishment, but not my boyfriend's. He recommended it, as our fav Chinese food place was unexpectedly closed on Tuesdays . He had a menu fr this restaurant which indicated a lunch/dinner version of everything. He was off to wrk & I was staying home, so I went to order fr the menu and noticed they (the restaurant) doesn't do delivery; you have to use a service (DoorDash, etc.). Since it stated there was no additional charge to use their service, I went online and downloaded the app and added all my info. This was relatively easy & fast to do. I then found this place on here, however, I couldn't find the lunch prices/specials. I called the restaurant directly and asked where to find it and was told you can only get lunch sizes/prices as a walk-in to the restaurant (ie in person). Online you can only purchase dinner sizes. So back to ordering online, I couldn't find the add-ons that come w the meal without being charged extra. Back to the phone again, called restaurant and was told you only get the extras w/out additional fees when you eat in the restaurant, otherwise, you'll be charged extra. The only item at no charge is a small quart size container of white rice; I was told white rice comes free w every take out/delivery meal automatically. Don't request it, just order your dishes & it's included; so I ordered 2 dishes, nothing else & sure enough the white rice came with it. Another thing I also noticed was the menu they give you to take home vs the prices listed on here were different. The takeaway menu (which my bf got 2wks ago when he dined in) was about $1.50-$2 cheaper then on this delivery site. For instance, Lo Mein noodles on the takeout menu, dinner size says $12.50 w add on beef of $1 extra. On the DD site it's $14.99 + &1.00 for beef ($15.99 NOT $13.50). A few dollars may not seem like a lot till you total it all up in the end (I'm getting there). The royal chicken was $12.99 on the menu but $13.99 on the DD delivery site. I'm breaking this down for you so you A) know you're getting 1 dish for a set price-NOT included are: choice of rice, soup & rolls (egg, etc.). I was told on the phone you only get those when seated in restaurant, and B) prices on menu given by restaurant are not valid for delivery. Then there's the matter of "fees": Service fee $4.35 (min $3)-helps keep DD operating, estimated tax $2.74, retail delivery fee of $0.28, which totaled $7.09 plus, you still have to add a driver tip! So my two meals ($14.99 + $13.99) subtotaled at: $28.98 with fees & tip added (an additional $10), so really my TWO dinners came to $38.36 (which end up costing $19.18 EACH). This is quite expensive for just two dinners w white rice. Luckily, (depending on how much one eats) the meal is big enough for two servings.
The food is DELICIOUS. If you eat this same meal within the restaurant, it's very much worth the money because you get all the extras and only pay tax & tip. As delivered meals, the value goes down (unless like me, you have no car & are not within reasonable walking distance to somewhere to eat, then you just have to over pay but enjoy the most delicious Thai food). I absolutely recommend eating in this restaurant (over delivery) as the food is outrageously delicious! I'll save eating here to do as a date night thing in the near future over delivery; will definitely be eating here again and you should too!!
The delivery driver was super quick, I was delightedly surprised & very happy. I chose to have it left on porch for contactless delivery.
