My other review wasn't finished and it posted.
Basically, I'm on a health journey to fix my GI issues. I started taking supplements and vitamins, a week ago, to work on fixing the problem naturally instead of getting on some pill or antibiotics. I want to actually heal my gut, not just ease my symptoms. Getting on meds for about 95% of health issues is like putting a bandaid on a broken bone. So, after a week on supplements, and actually seeing and feeling a little better, I wanted to start putting healthy food in my stomach starting week two. I'd never ordered from here so I was excited to find something that was made with fresh food.
My first issue, though, was that aside from listing the ingredients, it doesn't give you any information on how the item is healthy or what it can potentially do to benefit you. Like, the Detox Island smoothie. It says what's in it but not why it detoxes you. It makes me think they used that name to sell more of those smoothies. I didn't order it because it didn't tell me what or why it detoxes.
I did however order the Berry Yogurt Bowl. I was super excited because I actually bought a probiotic yogurt and tons of fruit and granola to eat every morning. Unfortunately, I was extremely busy the past week and I didn't find the time to thoroughly wash the fruit to then add to the yogurt and granola. I also bought an individual yogurt with fruit and granola to eat on my drive home this past Sunday, but I wasn't able to eat it while driving. So, when I saw this, I was super pumped! Then I saw a smoothie as well! For this item, I was able to add vitamins and other health powders and what not. It was the Blimey Limey. I added kiwi, collagen, b12, energy, fat burner, and vitamin C. I'll give the Blimey Limey an 8/10. Very good! Very refreshing! And hopefully, with all the extra add ons (that weren't super expensive surprisingly), very healthy! As far as the Berry Bowl, I should have noticed that the Greek yogurt wasn't vanilla flavored. I added extra pineapple, strawberries, granola, and almonds. All of which were very tasty. The only problem was that the Greek yogurt wasn't. If you've never had regular Greek yogurt, think sour cream. A thick sour cream. I thought that if I dumped it into a bigger bowl and mixed it all up, it would taste just fine. I was wrong. It tasted exact as I described it. Thick sour cream with fruits and granola. The only reason I ate 2/3rds of it was because it cost me so darn much. I know I added the extras, but it was damn near 20 bucks on its own. So, id give the Berry Bowl a 3/10. If they used a vanilla yogurt, it would have easily been a 10-10
I'll give this place another try, but I'll read the ingredients a little more carefully the next time around.
