• DoorDash orderI feel like my experience may be an anomaly after reading the many positive reviews for this restaurant, but as a first time customer I was still disappointed.
I did order an hour before they closed for delivery, but it felt like I received whatever remnants they had of food that was going to be thrown out that night.
The Edamame was mushy, mostly brown, and seemed like it had been microwaved as some parts were really cold while others were way too hot. The salad that came with my meal was wilted and included pieces of greens that are not typically eaten. The dressing was decent, but the little container it came in was only a third full.
The only thing that was decent were the California rolls, but even then they were very large and difficult to eat. The nori on the other two rolls was browning and slimy, and the fish in both had a strange texture.
I will try eating here again given all the positive reviews, but overall it felt like quality was sacrificed for quantity.

• DoorDash orderWakame is my favorite sushi place in the twin cities. They have the freshest fish, perfect rice, and tasty, inventive rolls. All the rolls and nigiri we ordered were exceptional.
I would give 5 starts except the Vegetables Tempura was cold and soggy and the Spicy Vegetables Miso Soup was a miss. It tasted like curry and that did not blend well with the miso.

• DoorDash orderBorn and raised here (now in SF), this still is and will always be my go to sushi place since 7th grade, so you know this restaurant is a staple if it hold up for this long and still stays as amazing as the first time! It's the first and last place I'll go when visiting home. Love spicy tuna? Then definitely try the Jeremy Roll, it's spicy tuna with a flare and it's fire. But honestly everything I've ever tried from here has never let me down. Always amazing, always fresh, always tasty as hell. (Also for in-person dining they have the BEST happy hour prices I've ever seen in and outside of MN, and highly recommend going, especially with their amazing outdoor seating!)

• DoorDash orderOn the menu it mentions you get 8 rolls and when we eat at the restaurant you get 8 rolls. We only received 6 rolls, which is disappointing. We order 4 different rolls and they shorted us on all of them. I also ordered a cucumber roll, and they forgot it. The food was still very good, but just disappointed we were shorted so much food but paid full price.
