Nice big helpings, jerk chicken is spicy as all get out, and the chick peas are ridiculously yummy. I first had a bowl when the food truck was at Pride this weekend and I needed a fix while at work 3 days later! My tongue is on fire but my belly is happy! 😋

I recommend ordering from YumVillage! Delivery was fast, portions were large & everything seemed fresh. My only issue was that the bottle of Pepsi was warm, but I just popped it in the fridge & problem solved!
We were so excited to try Fufu & Egusi Soup! We've been watching people eat it on TikTok for months & couldn't wait to try it. I'm in no way an expert on African Food, but one difference I noticed was that the Fufu here wasn't served in plastic wrap, but rather in a take out container. The Egusi Soup looked exactly like I expected it to! It's definitely a flavor I've never had before. We didn't personally like the taste of the Fufu or Egusi Soup, but I am so grateful to have gotten to try it! I highly recommend trying it for yourself, especially at such a great price.
We had also ordered the coconut Rice but unfortunately they were out & subbed it with Turmeric Rice, which was a little salty but very yummy!
I would absolutely order from here again to try their other Rices!

Ordered the Maafe Peanut Stew however they were out. I requested to be contacted if a sub was necessary. I was not contacted. My order was subbed for the Yam stew that was way to sweet for my taste buds. I also ordered the Ginger Curry Chickpeas. They were sweet as well. Not sure if they scooped my food with the same spoon because I have NEVER had sweet chickpeas. I was disappointed today .

The last time I went to the store I was delighted to meet Carsai. He went above and beyond and showed me the true passion he has for his delicious food. He took the time to educate me on the cuisine I was going to explore. Heck, he even through in an extra side of delicious stew that he wanted me to try.
Today my "extra large" Build Your Own Bowl Grab and Go Bowl came in the small size container missing the chickpeas. The side of African Cheesy bread was completely missing. I called the store and a very grumpy man announced that they were out of the large bowl and he stuffed my small bowl with an extra large portion (false). I told him that this is unacceptable and he rudely stated that "I can come to the store" if I want my food. Fortunately I did just that, and he made me the bowl correctly this time. I kindly reminded him to include the cheesy bread that he left out.
Cheesy bread: raw bread with a cheese sauce poured on, nothing else. Not sure if this is the correct version of the dish but I will never order it again.
Bowl: Made to order correctly after showing up in person. Delicious.
I appreciated Carsai's enthusiasm the first time I went to this restaurant. This + excellent food is why I ordered from here. I am very confident that he takes pride in his restaurant, but the other staff needs a little boost, the experience was subpar. A customer shouldn't need to call someone's bluff to get what he paid for.

I would've gave my food 5 stars but I wish it was more rice portions. I had more Yam Stew & Maafe Peanut Stew then rice. Also my stew was more broth than anything. Other than that flavors were amazing.
