I can't let a week go by without ordering food from Bongga Kusina. My go to meals are the silogs, lumpia and pancit. Tonight was my first time to order sinigang and pompano. The sinigang is so good with the vegetables still crisp and not overcooked. The soup is perfectly sour as well. The pompano was super crispy and tasted fresh. Great job, Ate! My weekly craving has been satisfied!

The best pinoy food I've had in Portland. The bbq pork skewers reminded me of the street vendor bbq you find in corner streets in P.I. And just absolutely delicious. Not dry or overcooked/burnt. The silogs (tapa and torta) were also pretty good. The sinigang was decent. I prefer my mom's more sour recipe. I ordered closer to closing on Saturday and still got fresh food. Will be back!!

I was curious to see the portion sizes for something as simple spam and rice . $15 is highway robbery for the portion you guys provided. The actual cost of this plate couldnt have been more than a few dollars at most. Charging this for 5 slices of spam, two pieces of cucumber and tomato, and a cup of rice is shameful. I would understand if there was something special done to the spam and a larger portion of this was provided, but it's literally just coated and cooked in egg, no other seasonings could be tasted.

I've had my fair share of Halo-Halo around this town, and this is by far one of the best (if not THE best) that I've had to date! Their Halo-Halo utilizes quality ube ice cream and adds to the indulgent lusciousness of it all, given the cream/milk they use in the mixture. It's not loaded with added sugar either (most overdo it) but they don't need to because the ingredients they include in it end up being the star of the show, you can really taste each component. Noticed they also have the ube itself generously distributed on the sides of the cup as opposed to just having it as a topping so when you mix everything up, the ube flavor is imbued thoroughly throughout. Delightful and nostalgic treat for me!! With warmer weather on the horizon, don't you dare sleep on this or you'll regret it!! Try their BBQ skewer combo plate, too, and treat yourself!
