Honduran, Puerto Rican, and Salvadorian cuisine. The best in the area. Come and enjoy a piece of our home here in Citrus Heights. The best pupusas in the area. Also, ask for the house plate, you will …
Absolutely amazing and authentic! My wife is honduran and my mother in law was visiting. We have been craving pupusas for months but didn't know we had anything near us. On a whim, I just thought to look on DoorDash. Boom! El Boritracho popped up AND they delivered. I was shocked and so excited. The food arrived and the smell was amazing. We sat down to eat and we all started looking at each other with the same smile of approval. The tamales were authentic central american style and the pupusas were exactly what we were craving. Protect this business at all costs! We will keep coming back and back!

The chicken tajadas had great flavor however there is way too much plantains for the amount of chicken. or there should have been twice as much chicken with it especially for the price.

Caldo de Res / Beef Soup was too expensive for the portion served. great flavor but expensive. Combo PupuseroChicharrón y Queso / Pork and CheeseLoroco y queso/ Loroco and Cheese had no salsa or repollo just rapped pupusas all together on a plate with foil. food flavor is delicious but disappointed of the way they pack

Tried this place for the 1st time. Never had food from Salvador before but it always looks good to me. I tried the Papusas which so very good- Pollo y Queso/ Chicken and Cheese & Calabacín / Zucchini. I wasnt a fan of the vinegar like dressing mixed in the cabbage salad but thats because im not accustomed to the flavor. I also tried the Tamales which is wrapped in banana leaves instead of Corn Husks that are typically made with Mexican Tamales. Its softer from the corn batter & has a sweeter taste. Empanada Salvadoreña its a sweet fried dessert that taste like sweet plantain batter with cream filling. Might taste better in the restaurant instead of take-out.

Wife moved here from Puerto Rico and was excited when news broke of this place serving Puerto Rican and other Central American cuisine. But everything we got was a disappointment. Mofongo is not supposed to be sweet but was apparently made with ripe plantains instead of green. The rice was like something you would find in a buffet and had none of the Latin flavors you would expect. The beans were just a paste, not a single bean to be found, again with no flavor. We also ordered a Chicharrón y Queso / Pork and Cheese that ended up being chicken and was the most bland thing I'd ever tasted. Unfortunately we will never come back.
