Overall good tasting food and they gave us plenty of chips with our meal. Two comments: Wish there was more avocado in 1/2 Pint of Guacamole it was mostly tomato cucumber filler. Thought the Burrito Chile Rojo is made with pork but it felt and tasted like chicken.

First time using Metate. The best
Carnitas I've ever had. Very tender and seasoned well. Loved Nachos!! Gave me extra chips too!! I will be getting my Nachos from Metate! Must try other foods from here.

Incredibly disappointing. "Super burritos" were closer to the size of taquitos, clearly used stale ingredients, and were fairly bland. Taco Bell quality at mission prices.

usually love this place and usually the food ordered is great. occasionally (more recently), however, I'll get my burrito but no chips or salsa come with. sometimes I'll only receive a burrito but no salsa with it 😭 today I got my burrito with salsa AND chips, yay. unfortunately, for the first time the chips that made it to me were STALE and the rice in my burrito was undercooked (gritty). sad day. might need to give this place a rest.
