The Classic Pork Wonton Soup 云吞汤 n soup was delicious and not overly salted. I have a hard time finding wood ear mushroom dishes, and the Pickled Wood Ear Mushrooms 爽口小木耳 were OUTSTANDING. I can't thumbs up the wood ear mushrooms hard enough.

I love the food at EMei - their mapo tofu is perfectly spiced, with large chunks of tofu that manages to get imbued with sauce.
But delivery from them is nowhere that experience. Though the tofu tastes about the same, it's a couple dollars more for about 70% the amount. The Salt and Pepper Squid 椒盐鱿鱼 was delivered soggy and soft.
in store, I'd easily give EMei a 4.5

Terrible food.
The rice balls are inedible. The filling is solid hard and tastes very expired. The dish is supposed to be sweet but there is both saltiness and sour tastes They obviously didn clean the pots and mixed with other seasoning. I am very concerned about the hygene of their food. Some one ought to inspect what they are doing in the kitchen.
The beef stew has little meat. Most things are just chewy tendons and inedible fats. The flavor is unfresh and seasoning too heavy. Very disappointed
The duck soup tastes very unfresh and greasy. The sourness also puts me off. Im genuinely concerned about the quality of the ingredients and hygene.
Overall horrible food. Unacceptable at this price. No-one should order again from here

The Dry-Fried Spicy Lamb Slices Seasoned with Cumin 孜然羊肉 was well seasoned Maybe a little too heavy handed with the Szechuan peppercorn but also a good portion. My only compaint is for 25 dollars a pint of White Rice 白米饭 should be included with the meal.

I ordered House Special Lo Mein 本楼捞面 egg Egg Roll (Pork & Veg) 1pc 春卷(1个) and Noodle W. Minced Pork / Without Pork 炸酱面 . The egg rolls were dry and tasteless. The lo mein noodles were underdone (to my taste) and the presence of ANY protein was effectively camouflaged. The Noodle W. Minced Pork / Without Pork 炸酱面 had, MAYBE 3 tablespoons of pork, and was the only dish I found edible. I'm used to NYC Chinese food, and so far, the Philly version of this cuisine is unacceptable. I will not be ordering again due to poor quality of food and expensive pricing.
