I'm from Guadalajara and a chef and believe me, good, authentic Mexican food is nearly impossible to find in Hamilton (I've eaten at every restaurant in the area that claims to be Mexican and have been mostly disappointed and sometimes disgusted and insulted with what some of these places do to our food). Maria's is our go to, especially when we're just too tired to cook ourselves. We've been eating here since they opened and have never been disappointed. Fresh ingredients and always made with care. Excellent portion sizes and great prices for such high quality fare. The salsa orale reminds me of one of the salsas my abuelita made and I could sit and eat it with a spoon. Always fresh and always delicious. It's hard to beat homemade but this comes as close as you can get from a restaurant. Can't recommend it highly enough!
