See, THIS is a fantastic example of restaurants that get swept under the rug by bigger chains. I order fast food and other junk all the time (we all have our vices, eh?), but today, I was feeling pretty sick. And while there's nothing wrong with ordering familiar food, I thought, "hey, let's try something a little better for me, for once." Well worth branching out.
It arrived promptly, and every part of it was better than the last. The chicken was moist and flavorful, and the peppers and onions paired so well. I dunno what the spice palate was for this, but it WORKED.
I also highly suggest ordering the yellow rice over the white every time. It was tender, it was easy on a sore throat, and I feel SO much better following it.
The flan wasn't bad, either! I'm not usually a big fan because it usually comes to me grainy and slightly overcooked, and it was a bit too grainy for me this time, too, but prepared very nicely.
I will most certainly be back for more.

White person here- Rice with Fried Pork Chop was okay. Pork chop was a small one, but juicy and seasoned. Arroz con gandules was different.Nothing special. Thought it would've been true Dominican flavored food like my exs and friends parents used to make - it just tasted like a white person seasoned it with basics. Empanadas was ehhh, beef was juicy but tasted off - flavor:stale, and the chicken was dry . Sweet Plantains were hard and not sweet at all. The Bola De Yuca Rellena with cheese was sweeter than the maduro. It was good though. And the other thing, the Quipes, was a no. The cheese was hard inside, and it was so salty and hard on the outside, almost chipped a tooth. Overall, 4stars, I ate it, but would probably try something closer to home.

i've been sick for 3 day and have ordered the Chicken Soup and Beef Tripe Soup every morning. i believe it is the reason im getting better. The Croissant with Nutella is also delicious. Its a great mix of crunchy and creamy

The mangu was not mashed thoroughly. Chucks of plantains remained. They were cheap with the fried cheese, I only received 1 piece.

Foods good. Came nice and hot. Portions isnt bad. Though I might say its bettr to just have it as an entree with all the items like fried cheese and eggs and salami and make it one orie instead of doing it as add ins. . But overll good since other rest are closed.
