This was the best Sushi we have had in a very long time. My wife , who is a very picky Sushi eater, could not stop raving about her meal. We had the shiu mai shrimp which was excellent. Best deep fried Cali rolls and dynamite rolls! Fresh and super tasty! Highly recommend.

Before Doordash came to Oceanside, I used to order from Sushi Sakura through a different delivery service. I'm always happy with their food. I have some annoying allergies and have had to order some bentonite meals without sauces etc. and thry always followed instructions perfectly. I love the bento boxes but today I ordered brown rice yam tempera rolls and Inari. The brown rice was soft, warm and moist. The yam was perfectly cooked and the rolls are a generous size. Inari was generous too. Thank you Sushi Sakura!

it was alright. Personally, I wouldn't have it again. Vegetable Tempura was somewhat soggy, and vegetables were unpeeled. deep fried California roll was a California roll. also had the Agedashi Tofu easily the worst agedashi tufo I've had. really big chunks of tofu and they give it to you in the sauce already instead of a separate sauce container so the crispy outside either all falls off or is completely soggy. if you want good sushi in the area just stick to Sam's sushi or sushi hama in Qualicum

Tempura was very greasy and not very crispy, spinach gomae was tough to chew, dressing was too sweet, tako balls were heavily and overly battered and fishy tasting. The miniscule piece of octopus was lost in the excessive batter and flavorless. Rolls were good. Shrimp dim sum was overly seasoned and not fresh tasting. Overall first impression was poor, and I'm not likely to order again.

Well, it's been 3 months since I first tried Sakura Sushi and I hioed maybe it had just been a one off bad day the first time around. Unfortunately, not the case. I've never seen yam tempura that is sliced as thinly as a potato chip. Bizarre. The rolls have minimal fillings and are absolutely drowned in fish eggs (maybe to compensate?). So bummed that my first impression was right; they don't do good sushi :(
