"Often, with to-go orders, quantities are smaller, less fresh, and lack presentation. Not at Norte!! They have nice, big servings. The food was hot and fresh, even 15 mins before closing. "We ordered from Valerie’s Taco Shop while staying in town on vacation, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. It’s rare for takeout to hit all the marks, but this one came pretty close. The California burrito was huge and incredibly flavorful - the carne asada was tender and juicy, the fries inside added just the right crunch, and the sour cream and guac tied it all together with a creamy finish. Perfectly wrapped and super satisfying. The shredded beef tacos were another favorite. The shells were perfectly crunchy (not soft!), and the beef inside was packed with flavor. No sogginess, no skimping - just really well-done tacos. We also ordered churros, which arrived hot and crispy with a fluffy center and just the right amount of cinnamon sugar. Paired with Mexican Cokes, it made for an ideal comfort food night in. There was a small hiccup with a missing side of rice for one of the a la carte tacos, but it was resolved quickly and didn’t take away from the overall experience. Everything arrived hot, fresh, and packed with care. We’re already planning to order again before we leave town.
