The donuts are always fresh and they usually have what we order available even if we order later in the morning. I would just eat a dozen of their glazed donuts and be happy because they're the best but my kids like the strawberry, chocolate and vanilla iced ones. Their seasonal donuts are good too. They have told me that their industrial toaster tends to lightly toast, basically just warming the bagel. Ok. If this is the case, and a known issue, why not run it through twice -- especially when it's ordered as "dark toast?"
