Today, I was craving Tao, but there weren't any open reservations available, so I decided to order on DoorDash for the first time. I ordered the BBQ duck fried rice, black pepper chicken, and what was suppose to be Shrimp Tempura rolls. I will start by saying that when the food arrived, the rice and chicken were still warm. The chicken was pretty good, but the rice lacked a little bit of seasoning. It wasn't horrible, but it was noticeable. Now as for the Shrimp tempura rolls, I was extremely disappointed that whoever prepared it would actually think that this would be acceptable to give to someone. I've ordered shrimp tempura rolls each time I've dined in at Tao, so I'm familiar with what I should expect. It's one of my favorite items on the menu, and out of everything I ordered this evening, I was really looking forward to devouring them. To my surprise, I was shocked at what I saw. There were NO SUSHI ROLLS, no dressing, NOTHING. They literally gave me two pieces of "shrimp". Not to mention when I took one bite, it tasted completely BLAND and it was cold! I couldn't even eat it. It was a complete WASTE. And I paid $25 for it! I can't emphasize how disappointed I was and still am. I spent quite a bit of money on my order today with the expectation of receiving a meal that would, at minimum, satisfy my craving. But it was a major let down."
