Cold, rainy, spent all day at the office or in traffic, too fried to cook when I got home... And I was healed. By the Classic Tomato Udon Noodle Soup.
Gorgeously red, flavorful broth with little bits of chopped tomato for texture. Chubby noodles, perfectly cooked. I was starving so I asked for seasoned beef and an egg, which of course increased costs, but the add-on portions, especially the beef, are so generous that it's way worth the price.
Delivery is also well packaged! The udon comes in a large cup, and they put the toppings in a separate container that serves as the cup's lid. You get to crack the egg yourself which 1) saves space since it doesn't need to its own cup and 2) it's fun. Jammiest egg I've ever had in my life, too.
Dessert was Taiyaki 鯛焼き, which comes with a little cream/berry sauce! Not too sweet! I saved the Spam+Egg(Sushi Rice) musubi for breakfast next day and it was still delicious cold.
I will be ordering again so soon! Can't wait to try other dishes!

OMG the Hokkaido Creamy Udon AT 1st I was like hell no this is prolly just some Alfredo sauce with udon noodles in them... NAHHH ITS A DREAMY TASY CREAMY HEAVENLY BOWL. the bacon wasn't over powering! it still got that umai taste and overall well balance! Will be reordeirng this again this week! Taiyaki 鯛焼き is tasty! I can't tell if the matcha was melted icecream but if it was it was because of how hot yesterday was. Also very warm and tasty! Its not as big as the image shown though so beware if you thinking of a giant Taiyaki 鯛焼き !

I really loved the curry udon, more than I expected to. It's thick and rich. I did order with a poached egg and wasn't sure exactly how it would come... I came in the shell and incompletely soft boiled and was inedible, so I won't do that again. But everything else was great, came in a cute insulated bag too.

I love handmade noodles and udon so trying out Kinzo was a no brainer! I got the Tonkotsu Udon Noodle Soup with char siu and a poached egg and it was perfect and flavorful! Not to mention the packaging was sturdy and well-made. I also liked the fact that I could crack my own poached egg! Highly recommend!

I love ramen, but I'm so glad there is finally a place nearby that doesn't simply add udon to their menu as a second thought.
The noodles were perfectly cooked, and chewy without being soggy. In my opinion the broth could have been a bit more rich, but overall I'm more than happy with what I received.
THEN there's the fact that they carry several items I have been DYING to find in the Twin Cities after my two favorite restaurants closed several years ago. Those food items being taiyaki, spam musubi, and Japanese curry. Would love to see onigiri and some other staples added to the menu!
I can't wait to order again!
