Neapolitan inspired, Tokyo influenced scratch pizza driven by tradition but not stuck in it. Also serving seasonal salads and small plates to highlight California’s bounty. Curated beer, wine, artis…
My first time trying Piza Kama and I was blown away! I got the margherita pizza (always the truest test with Neapolitan style pizza) and I also ordered the simple salad with baby arugula with fresh lemon, olive oil and salt and pepper, and everything was PERFECT.
The crust is scratch made and was chewy, thin, and perfectly cooked the whole way through. The pizza is cooked in a stone fired oven, and the ingredients were all so fresh! Loved the not-sweet sauce (I am not a fan of sweeter pizza sauces), and I already am craving it again. You could tell when you get it this is scratch made dough and pizza and doesn’t look like every other pizza you get from the chain’s.
The ”simple salad” was just that, very simple. It was made with very fresh baby arugula, and a light and tangy dressing simply made of lemon juice, olive oil and salt and pepper. If you are looking for a traditional Caesar or Italian dressing this is not it, but it was clean and fresh and tangy and perfect for me. Salad topped with fresh parmesan, and everything was just what I wanted.
The main restaurant is off the main drag closer to Boulder Bay. They also have a small spot in the Village where you can get by the slice. I tried the full service spot.
A must try in Big Bear.

what a dissappointing pizza.... for the price I wouldve expected it to be bigger... and have tomato sauce on it like it was supposed to, as well as pesto....? $40 for this is actually absurd. I added sausage to the misto and apparently that constitutes a completely different pizza.

Second time having this pizza and it is delicious! Perfect Neapolitan thin crust, perfect amount of sauce, and the basil and cheese is just like you expect. I highly recommend.

The pizza was half crust with very little saice and toppings. And the toppings looked like they were just thrown on. They were floating around the box (not on the pizza). We were pretty shocked when we got our delivery. It was a $38 order so we were pretty disappointed.
