I just drove a 45 foot Motorcoach full of teenagers allll the way down from Tacoma over the past two days. My reward was a fantastic sushi dinner. The #1. Sushi Island and Orinda Roll arrived looking like a box of jewels. The rolls were fresh and super flavorful. I love that they included both soy and ponzu sauce. I am here tomorrow night, too, and I think I just might order again. Thank You!!

The #13. Lion #13. Lion King Roll Roll was a piece of art and they followed a special request on the #15. Aloha. Definitely recommend if you like seaweed salad! #3. Chicken Karaage Karaage was lite & crispy goodness. The Miso Soup was small portioned plus tasted like oily salt water with leaves. Other than that dish, I recommend this place and will dash again when in the sushi mood!

3 item binto box came with a fresh salad and perfectly steamed sticky rice. As a first-time eater, I was not expecting that but was very much pleased with it. way more food than I could eat in the end but flavorful, colorful, and the meat was tender. As a truck driver with a degree from the best rated culinary school in the country I like to try different places around the country and I'll be back for sure. Definitely a gem.

I was extremely pleasantly surprised with how fresh their fish was, unfortunately most sushi restaurants in this area serve stale grainy and mushy fish to clueless customers who don't know the difference, but this is legit fresh fish here at this restaurant. Unfortunately it is priced correctly to pay their horrifically overpriced rent in Orinda, so unfortunately it's expensive and hard to actually get enough fish to fill you up unless you spend alot, but it's good fresh fish which is the most important thing a sushi restaurant has going for it. So good for special occasions but be prepared to spend around 40 dollars a person if you want to fill up on the actual sushi. If you don't care about the quality of the fish and the actual different flavors of the fish species, and just want the Americanized 'stuff' with cream cheese and abunch of rice and fried tempuras and cheap imitation crab meat, then you can fill up a lot cheaper ;) 👍🏻

Sushi was a bit meh and the Miso Soup was only like half full. Not really worth the price imo. The #8. Double Salmon Roll was good but the #20. Spicy Salmon Roll was quite meh and look like they just added hot sauce vs. making a spicy salmon mix. #2. Salmon Avocado Roll was fine.
