Starting as a morning cook for the restaurant's founder, Mrs. Harris, Michael rose through the ranks to become executive chef in 1991, part owner after Mrs. Harris' death in 2003, and now he and his t…
Harris is exensive, compared to places I order from. VERY EXPENSIVE. But the VALUE IS ABSOLUTELY THERE. I received the most beautiful Porterhouse steak I think I have EVER SEEN in 68 years! Perectly trimmed, and about two pounds of the most tender well aged ,( dry aged!) meat. Ill have an othher meal tonight, and a lunch tomorrow. Go there or get delivery. If you LOVE GOOD MEAT, this is your best option. Not a CHAIN
I dont know of any other place in SF that has this QUALITY of beef, and the folks who run this great HOUSE ARE KIND AND REALLY PROVIDE THE BEST OF SERVICE!

The Petit Filet Mignon was extremely undercooked. I received it rare (and then some) when I had requested medium rare. I had to recook it myself. Just ridiculous. They steamed vegetables I received were spoiled. The sugar snap peas were NOT fresh.

Mediocre for sky high prices
Chicken which was room temperature didn’t look like the photos looked roasted a day earlier anemic white and dry saved only by the delicious old world sherry sauce the highlight of the order.Mixed vegetables turned out to be only snap peas which were good.Baked potato kind of gummy not fluffy. For a legendary steakhouse I’m kind of scared to try their beef now at their price points
No bread or silverware included
Got fed at a premium just ok

Got the A5 Japanese Wagyu and Whole Lobster W/ Clams which were very disappointing given the price point. Flavor tasted off and we couldn't enjoy it.
