This place regularly has some of the best Japanese food in the area. The ONLY PLACE I will eat teriyaki or tonkatsu from as it's actually fresh, tender, and tastes amazing. The fried rice is legit as well. As a person who orders door dash nightly, this place is hands down #1 teriyaki in the South sound area.

My son likes the teriyaki sauce better than our usual place, but there wasn't much meat. I'm not convinced I got any chicken. The breaded almond chicken was more like deep fried balls of breading. The gravy was good, but there wasn't much of it, just a little in one corner of the package. Most of the pieces were dry.

Ive been ordering from HATB for years---even before doordash. I have always considered their fried rice to be the absolute best in the area. The portion size was generous and coupled with its luxurious, buttery, & toasty flavor profile---the $20 price tag was acceptable because i could eat it 2-3 times.
Im sad to report that they have reduced the quality of the meat, and reduced the serving size by shrinking the container. Rather than a full dinner size to go container, they now use a container that feels half-sized though it's likely more like 66% sized. The meat felt more like scraps from the cutting board than the meat in the past. Very sad. Absolutely not worth $40 for two. Will be difficult to justify purchase moving forward.

Lot of fat on their Korean Beef Short Rib (kalbi) and they're pretty small portions. The sauce was amazing and I received 1 oz of sauce included with the meal & an additional one for 50 cents! Additionally, the rice was decent yet nothing out of the ordinary - I've had better elsewhere. Overall, because the sauce was carrying the majority of the meal, I'm going to have to respectfully say this place isn't my cup of tea. I hope they can improve in the future as any place has the potential to. :)

Best Pork-fried rice I have found anywhere. Paired with some Pork Ton Katsu---you've got yourself a top-tier SWINE-LOVER'S feast. Seriously. Try the (regular pork) Pork fried rice! The BBQ Pork F.R. is fine too, if you must.
But, the Happy at the Bay Pork Fried Rice is just plain special.
