I'm a southern man originally from coastal North Carolina. Although this city has been my home for 25 years now I have never been satisfied with the fried chicken from every restaurant that serves this southern staple unless I cook it myself. Well if Kokio's Republic continues to consistently deliver the bird as perfectly cooked to the bone without a sliver of raw meat and it was delivered extra crispy with plenty of artery hardening delicious golden brown crunchy skin....in my best southern drawl ....superb! Many thanks Kokio...you are in first place and in my honest and humble opinion nobody, not Brenda, not Krunchy, neither of the Minnie's nor the Front Porch come even close to what you served me at home this evening. If ya'll want fried chicken like fried chicken is suppose to be get the plain bone in 6 piece with honey mustard that is perfectly balanced btw if you must dip and I bet you everyone with you eating this chicken goes quiet until the last bone is picked clean. Bravo, Kokio! Whatever you are doing keep doing it. It's worth every penny!

I don't comment on my food orders much, but I had to for this one from last night . The Mexican Street Corn is AMAZING! I also had the Fried plant based chicken taco which was sooo good. I'm actually reordering it now for dinner tonight.
