• DoorDash orderOrdered via DoorDash. The dasher had quite a few drop-offs along the way, so my food arrived quite late. The dish was sadly barely warm by the time I received it.
Today, I ordered the Sweet & Sour Chicken with a side ofJasmine Jasmine Rice (Large)
TLDR - food was tasty, but the value not not quite there. It's quite expensive for such a small portion.
For an la carte dish, I was disappointed to find the portion size of the sweet and sour chicken to be rather small, considering it's 20 bucks.
Even more upsetting is the "large" jasmine rice that is noted on the website to feed 2-3 people. That carton is tiny (like the size of a baseball?) and can only be considered a maximum of one person's portion. It cost me $4.40 to get the large rice. I finished the entire tiny carton in one sitting and still felt unsatiated. I cannot fathom what the "small" jasmine rice entails if what I got was the large size.
OK, now that I listed my disappointments, I will have to admit, the food was good. The sweet and sour chicken, though lukewarm by the time I got it, was still slightly crispy at the edges. The sauce was perfectly sweet-tangy and enveloped the meat and veggies. The idea of charring the fresh (not canned) pineapple was an excellent touch and helped emulate the taste of a smoky wok. It was very delectable. I only wish I had more to eat.
The rice, though the portion was sadly pitiful, was fluffy, soft, and fragrant. It paired well with the chicken.
Today's order to me really felt more like a 3.5 stars. I didn't even get utensils, even though I had requested some. Sigh...The food was tasty, so round up to 4 stars.

• DoorDash orderMamahuhu got me hooked with their Mapo Tofu years ago; I can attest that the veggie option is as good as the pork one. First time trying the Hot & Sour Soup (Small). A good portion and flavor. Not too spicy, just a gentle warmth and great classic texture. First time with the M.S.G Chicken too: i think the flavor is really good and savory, but to compare to a more nostalgic American-Chinese restaurant, this could be a bit more generous. The crust and flavor was great, but I'd have a hard time sharing this across more than two people. Otherwise, super fast and the quality was really solid.

• DoorDash reviewSweet and sour chicken was way too sour and not very sweet from the hawthorn, white rice was mushy and overcooked, and the mala cucumbers were drenched in this flavorless yet bitter cream that had no seasoning or spice at all. Extremely overpriced and disappointing food

• DoorDash orderThis is my 3rd time ordering at Mamahuhu, and overall, the food has been delicious. It's pricier (and smaller portioned) than other establishments serving asian food, but so far the dishes I've tried have been really tasty.
I ordered the Lazi Chicken, Jasmine Rice (Large), and Snow Jasmine Tea Soda today.
I am happy to say that the box of jasmine rice I received is larger than my last order. I can only assume that they packed the wrong size box of rice last time.
The Lazi Chicken was perfectly seasoned and spiced. The chili oil drizzled was very flavorful. I opted to get the default spice level, and it left a comfortable, warm tingle on my lips after eating. l love the fact that it's still kinda crispy even after the dish has cooled. It was a very delectable and enjoyable dish. It makes you crave rice to eat with it.
The snow jasmine tea soda was super refreshing and thirst-quenching! It was super floral but not in an overwhelming, cloying floral (think grandma's potpourri) way. This soda captured the essence and fragrance of freshly plucked jasmine flowers and tea leaves, combined with a gentle bubbly soda and mild neutral sweetness that elevated the tea's natural flavor, and created this mouth-watering beverage that leaves your breath smelling fresh. This soda was a delight to drink.
