best bar b que in town and the chilli is my favorite. juicy brisket in every spoon and the ribs are so good you don't even need sauce.

The order came on time which is a surprise for me. I really like the packaging. the beef strips were tender AF. The greens were average, the garlic mash is average. The beef was good but I've had better. when you live in Chicago, you have access to the best food in the world, so a lot of these restaurants need to step their game up and this is one of them. Not bad but not great.

Tho is my third or fourth time having Honky Tonk. Normally I order the Prime Brisket By the Pound and it lasts me two days and is delicious! They must have a new chef/cook. Because not only was the portion smaller but briaket was not lean as I'm used to it being and was also tough (nor tender). My sides were sweet potatoes and Mac n' cheese which were unfortunately bland. This was a disappointment seeing as how the order itself was $50

First time ordering from here.
Everything was cold when I got it.
The ribs were dry and didnt have much seasoning. They gave me the wrong bbq sauce - it was gross and acidic. I ordered the sweet chicago and they gave me tangy Memphis.
The Mac and cheese taste like garlic, was old and the cheese was all separated.
The ribs didnt say they came with anything but came in a cute little box. They came with ribs, 2 bbq, a roll, and a thing of coleslaw.
I ordered an extra coleslaw because I didnt know it came with one. It was old and wasn't crisp... but the one that came in the rib box was fresher and tasted good.
The roll was dry and flavorless.
No napkins, no utensils...

The sampler platter was a perfect combinaton and plenty of food for 2 people. The ribs were very tender and all of the flavor was there with the dry rub. We ordered a Mac and cheese that was decent but the greens were really good. They had a good heat to them and flavourful. Everyth was hot and fresh and I will de be ordering again!
