I ALMOST NEVER LEAVE REVIEWS. Just have to take a moment and say thank you for the most delicious Gam Ja Tang I've had in the 7 years I've lived in the Bay Area. After living in Korea for 2 years, this became my most beloved and most missed dish, and I've found it 1) so hard to find since living here and 2) when found it's never good. THIS ONE WAS AMAZING. ORDER IT. It came with two big containers of stew, plenty of meat (like you would get in Korea), and rice. I ordered an extra rice and it was perfect. Ill be trying the duk mandu guk next time I'm in SF, thats my second most missed dish!

WOW! Gamjatang ("potato soup") is basically Korean pozole made with backbones instead of skull and potatoes instead of corn. The broth was thick and flavorful with tons of meaty chunks that immediately fell off the bone. It's so easy for restaurants to skimp on these kinds of dishes with too much bone, watery broth, or too much potato. I received two huge soup containers, extra rice, and a neatly packed side of banchan. The kimchi tasted very homemade and the bean sprouts were perfectly seasoned and crunchy—just like grandma used to make. I'd give this dish 6 stars if I could.

Gam Ja Tang was authentic and delicious. I only ordered one serving but it came in two containers because they gave me so much of it. Perfect, since I get to eat it later.

Honestly a little disappointed with everything. The bul go gi was overcooked/dry, sweet and sour pork was quite a large amount and while I appreciate that they kept the sauce and pork pieces separate, the sauce was too watery and the pork tasted a little odd..and maybe undercooked. Soft tofu wasn't bad but just a tad underwhelming. Jajangmyeon wasn't as great either compared to another place I've tried. They kept the sauce separate from the noodles as well so it wouldn't be mushy which was nice.

Gan Jajang's sauce to noodle ratio left something to be desired (more jajang). Mostly diced onion - sprinkles of squash and pork
