Carrot Cake (Slice) was a decent size; couldn't quite tell if it was homemade; would have been better warm. NYCC (Slice) Plain cheesecake was good. Loved the crust.

I haven't eaten at Katzingers for quite a while, but today's food quality, except for the knishes, was ho-hum. "Tangy" sauce for the macaroni salad tasted like straight mayo. Although the pasta was a very nice al dente. The knishes were still very good! The chicken broth with noodles was just ok. Broth was decent, but clearly, no salt had been added to the noodles when cooked. They tasted like wet cardboard. The Reuben needed more sauce, sauerkraut and cheese. And truthfully, just an average amount of corned beef. Not sure who owns Katzingers anymore, but clearly, food quality cuts have been made. Sad. Can not recommend.

I don't mind the prices since the portions are usually enormous, but my sandwich barely had any tuna (I'm still hungry after a Katzinger's sandwich!), plus the bread tasted a little stale, and they gave me the wrong kind of pickle. Very disappointing all around.
