Portobanco's is by far my favorite nicaraguan restaurant in CALIFORNIA, through the years the Portobancos family exceeds their service, maintain their food quality high and delicious and the ambience at the restaurant to be welcoming and friendly/respectful.

Just tasted okay, nothing special. The Cerdo Frito included only 4 pieces of meat which is not worth it for the price and the "salad" was weird, more wet like a vinegar based slaw. The Filete a la Plancha was well cooked but lacking in seasoning/flavor.

The flavor itself is great but the piece of meat they give is pretty small given the price. Feels like it has shrunk compared to what they used to serve before and the stock photo listed reflects that change. The tajadas are fantastic though, estilo granadino.

Portobancos is one of my favorite restaurants! I just recovered from the flu and it was my victory meal! I always order the carne asada with gallo pinto and plantano verde and a pitaya. THE BEST!
