I first discovered Hang ah on a visit to the city with a friend and fell in love. It has set the bar for dim sum very high. All their buns are perfectly seasoned, beautifully cooked, and we'll portioned. The pork buns, red bean buns, and the egg custard buns are some of my personal favorites.
My friends adore the sesame balls, which have an amazing crunch to them, and the chicken dumpling, which has a bit of corn in it and tastes like dinner in a bite.

The fried rice is just ok. Portion size could be better for the price. It doesn't have the wok hay taste. The chicken is diced too large. Never seen bites this big in fried rice. The lettuce is bitter tasting. Not sure how to salvage this meal.

Portion sizes were 1/3 of the container size. Taste is ok but very disappointed in the value. Fried noodles are not HK style like the picture - used fat noodles.

Not so hungry this evening so ordered Egg Roll 春卷appetizer and was pleasantly surprised. They were still hot and crisp and full of yummy goodness. The accompanying sauce was ok. Unlike others we've ordered, these had no weird aftertaste or oil flavor. The Shrimp Dumplings. Pork Meat Ball Combination 點心雙拼 was really fresh delicious, just right balance of flavors and freshness. Would definitely order again.

My favorite dim sun in the city. The custard buns are amazing. Their sesame balls perfectly crisp. The pan fried pork dumplings are to die for. I could honestly just keep listing food off their menu and attach adjectives describing how great they all are. I have never eaten anything from here I didn't love, not like, love.
Do yourself a favor, order a nice variety, get plenty of custard buns, feel like you're dining like royalty for a few scrumptious hours.
