Before La Monarca, I had never had a guava croissant. It's my new breakfast obsession. The croissant itself is buttery and flaky, and the guava filling is a perfect sweet/salty combo and the amount of filling is just right. The perfect way to shake off the Monday blues!

Strawberry Shortcake ( Fresas Con Crema) Cake Slice
I ordered the strawberry shortcake and it was very dry and stale. There were almost no strawberries in the cake itself, they were not fresh either. Disappointing to spend nearly $10 on a tiny slice of old cake.

The champurrado is very comforting and warm. The overall texture of their puff pastries and Chipotle burrito are excellent. Any meal from here is a great choice, particularly breakfast.

I order their magical, hot cocoa, Mexican, chocolate, and keep it in-house, because everybody loves it so much, especially me! And I always treat myself to a slice of their delicious cake when I order the cocoa! We also recently tried their wonderful Mexican wedding cookies and I hate to admit, ate the whole bag! So be careful with those addictive little boogers!

The Chipotle beef burrito is very good and you might want to share it if you're not that hungry. Their chai latte, danish, and cupcakes aren't too sweet. They're all classic flavors.
