The Irishman Pub (formerly known as The Staggering Irishman) is a neighborhood Irish Pub officially re-opened on Aug 12th with a remodeled building but a similar Irish influence. We made a few changes…
Everything I ordered was good and id order from here again. The pretzel was dense and bready and the cheese sauce was amazing. The fish and chips were good but portion size was somewhat small, more like fish sticks. At that size, a fourth piece of fish would have been more inline with the pricing. I'm not a big tarter sauce fan but it was so good I may have licked the bowl clean! Fries were just meh. Also, a hand full of malt vinegar packets would have improved the whole dish. Is it really Fish and Chips without malt vinegar?

The Fish and Chips were ok, the fish could use more seasoning and the chips were shoestring and lackluster. But the tarter sauce redeemed it.

The fried pick are PERFECT! Thick slices, not thin and puny. The fish and chips are par.

The Bavarian pretzel bites came hard and dry as a rock, mozzarella sticks were still cold in the center, and instead of being served cheesecake, as I had ordered, I was served a gelatinous congealed mass that I think was supposed to be bread pudding? I imagine that was microwaved to death too judging from its temperature even upon delivery.
Aside from that the food was far below average for a restaurant with these prices. Everything I received on The Irishman Platter could easily be bought in your local supermarkets frozen section and it will taste just like it too. Better in some cases.

The Fish and Chips are very tasty. Love the crispy batter! And the pretzel is always a must because the beer cheese dip it's paired with is soo tasty!
