Brenda’s Oakland is my absolute favorite breakfast place ( their lunches are awesome as well!) they really go the extra mile when it comes to packing their food for delivery. I love ordering various sides and sauces along with my main dishes. My toddler just discovered grits, and Brenda‘s are her favorite! oh, and the fried chicken, amazing!mmm… and the biscuits, I always get an extra one❤️

The Fried Catfish Benedict was delicious. I enjoyed it. The cheddar grits was very , very good, (creamy!). They didn't give me much, that was disappointing. I didn't like the Bowl Gumbo it wasn't good. I got Plain Beignets Order too, they tasted great but they different from ones I've gotten elsewhere. I think I'll give this spot another try tho. Only it's gotta be in-person. DD takeout not doing y'all any justice.

Shrimp po boy, chicken wings and drum= HARD& no flavor
Mac and Cheese= looked old and overly crunchy
Beignets=HARD
Potato salad =weird brownish gray color- Wont be trying it

I can eat at Brenda's every single day. I am extremely addicted to the apple Beignets and the chocolate Beignets. I am disabled and I'm stuck in my bed and my house because I can't hardly walk. I'm also a retired chef of 15yrs and standing on my feet 9hrs a day has broke my body down and I wish I could eat at Brenda's to enjoy the experience, but since I can't go anywhere , everytime I get some money and get paid every month from social security disability, the first thing I do at 8am is order some food twice a day from Brenda's and I hate it wen I'm out of money because I have to wait until the next month wen I get paid from social security disability benefits to place an order but handd down BRENDA'S IS THE TRUTH AND THE BEST FOOD I EVER HAD IN MY LIFE

The Catfish & Grits is delicious, plentiful catfish and very creamy grits. Actually more fish than grits. The One Chocolate Beignet melts in your mouth.
