My God Today...All of this food is good for the soul y'all hear me! Ox tails falling off the bone, and the cabbage and rice are a perfect pairing to the palate an simply bussin. Then there's the star of my order, the plantains which were soft with a slight char an packed full flavor. Definitely will order again cause someone in that kitchen know what they are doing baby! Kudos

This place is the best local restaurant in Dayton. Agnes eats is THE place for good food. Oxtail bowl is delicious, Chicken Cheesesteak is the best in town, jerk chicken is so good espcially with their gold sauce, arguagbly the best Mac & Cheese I've ever had. I LOVE Agnes eats.

$5 for 5 pieces of burnt Plantains is not great. And the Beef Pattie is super oily not so much flaky like I'm used to.

Small portion size, the ox tail itself was barely even seasoned and the sauce that was used on the noodles was just bland, the Jamaican patty itself
Tasted as if they went to dollar tree and bought one of those because it's the exact same thing and its definitely not worth $5. But as far the price itself I just wouldnt recommend.

Agnes eats serves food that I would order again. For a "specialty" dish which I didn't have to cook AND didn't have to leave my pajamas or house to get, I won't be negative. The serving size for the money was worthy. there were 5 or 6 tender oxtails, and 2 of those were a good size. They had that good "sticky" to it (only the fat folks know what I mean), so you know I had to do the phat gurl dance with that 1st bite. The sauce was well seasoned, not overly salty and mild-which means no spiciness to it. the rice was done, not soft and still firm. There were peas scattered around somewhere in there but it was mostly rice. The cabbage looked dry. I wasnt sure that Ibwould enjoy it but it was tender, sweet, and delicious. I personally would have liked some more color in it like some additional carrot shreds, but again, I'm still in my PJs, and my oven is OFF. The bottom line is I dont feel like I wasted my money, and I would order them again.
