This food was amazing! I got the pulled BOW Pollo Mechado / Pulled Chicken and added crispy pork belly and everything was seasoned with love. You get the best bang for your buck without lacking in authenticy. This might be my new favorite restaurant!

This. Right here! The bowl is so good! I had it with bla beans, rice, cheese and plantains. The flavors are EVERYTHING. Their tequeños are the best. My husband loves the empanadas butsays the potato and cheese one is like eating cheesy mashed potatoes wrapped in a crust. My go-to when Idont want to cook.

I placed a large order, over $100 worth of food, and instead of being thanked or treated with basic respect, the staff at Amazonas Restaurant acted like I had inconvenienced them. First, they quoted a 5-minute wait time. I waited over 20. That’s a huge difference, I could’ve waited comfortably in my car instead of in the Texas heat.
When I came back to check in, I was ignored at the window for several minutes, then finally greeted with rudeness, as if I hadn’t just spent a hundred bucks at their establishment. They even complained about how much I ordered. Sorry, but if you can't handle customers giving you money for your food, maybe rethink the restaurant business.
And for all that? The food isn’t even worth it. The arepas were dry, with no sauces or garnishes, just a lump of filling stuffed into a bland shell.
I’d strongly recommend skipping this place and heading to Fogonero or Sabor Venezolano, which actually understand good food and service.
Terrible attitude. Mediocre food.
