This is really good Pizza, has a good heavy dough weight and texture suggesting that they make it fresh and let it rise properly, has a great aroma and seemingly abundant and quality toppings. (can we say great mouth- feel ) ha! very satisfying.

if we had to criticize anything it's just incremental math and economics. We've worked in pizzarias and there's not much more cost involved in making the pizza just a bit bigger. I a big pig face and love to eat ALot of good food.
I would like to see a bigger option for a couple more bucks. That said, I devoured it all and I am stuffed and very satisfied, but you know... I'll be hankering for another slice or two for a midnight snack later. oh & Root beer, please offer 2 litre root beer .

Wow this pizza is underwhelming. The sauce is bland. I know Detroit tends to be greasy, but this was really soaked in grease. I couldn't get past one slice. I hate to say it, but Via is better and I thought that place was overrated

I've never left a review on anything before but I'm going out of my way to leave one for Bat City Pies. I got the The Pennybacker and Garlic Cheese Bread. Everything was phenomenal. Possibly the best pizza I've ever had, and the personal size pizza is more than enough for 1 person. The cheese bread is also a homerun and may get deleted before the pizza if you order both.

My pick-up order wasn't ready at the scheduled time, not a big deal to me, but when it was, the food was oddly lukewarm.
Got the Barton Springs without olives and added chicken. Looks good and the flavors work, but the dough was rubbery and tough to cut! Chicken was also dry.
Meatballs were good, but room temp.

As a thin crust connoisseur, I never thought I could love a Detroit style pie this much! The red sauce is robust and flavorful without being overwhelming, and the white pies are just as delicious. The Don't Call Me Darlin' and a BYO pepperoni with some veggies are my favorites, don't get me started on the Bat Bites!! 10/10
