I have been going to Benito's for over 20 years. I desperately miss their location on Santa Monica Blvd., but am grateful I can get food from their remaining location.
It's not the fanciest, but it reminds me of the taco shop food I'd get growing up in San Diego. The rolled tacos are on point. They always show up no-longer crispy because they're slathered in guacamole and cheese which makes them *even* better, the hot sauce is just right, and the quesadilla is no-fuss cheese and a delicious, somewhat translucent tortilla. Just taco shop perfection.

I ordered the Carne Asada Fries and called ahead to ask for the cold items to be on the side bcuz I prefer them separate when they are being delivered. They did everything as I asked.it was very much appreciated. The fries with the shredded beef (i changed from carne asada) were amazing! Recommend highly. The taquitos were also great. Great food and great customer service!

Machaca Burrito was amazing! And Five (5) Rolled Tacos (with Guacamole & Cheese) was super tasty. Lots of guac and cheese. Food came hot and the Horchata (32 oz) was creamy and delicious.

#2 Two Shredded Beef Tacos combination plate and #3 Shredded Beef Taco and Chicken Enchilada combination plate. They are amazing!! Best Mexican food I've tried in this area!! And I'm a very picky eater.

Benitos is affordable and quick. With carne asada torta is large, delicious, and messy, so you will need 2 hands and at least 8 napkins. I can only eat half so it can easily be your only meal of the day. I like their guacamole better than Chipotles.
