Yesterday was our first visit to this restaurant. Both my wife and I had pollo guisado con arroz amarillo con gandules, with macaroni salad, and it was really good. The chicken was tender, and the rice and gandules were well-seasoned—everything well balanced, not salty or bland. Well portioned served (Ya que como mucho imaginate). I also found that the food was not greasy, so for those concerned about that, I highly recommend it. Yes, cerullo de maiz is available here, folks. That is not an easy find. The restaurant had a warm and inviting ambiance. The service was excellent. The owner actually came out, introduced himself, and took the time to ask about the food and service. We'll definitely be coming back.

The chicken breast chunks were dry and really tough. I couldn't eat or enjoy it and there was barely any "gravy" in my platter.
BUT I give them 4 stars because the pastelillos and arroz con gandules( rice and Pigeon peas) were very flavorful and juicy ! They remind me of the ones I ate as a child. I wish there was more meat in the pastelillos but they are still really good. I will definitely be ordering rice and pastelillos again!

Please stop putting the Pollo Guisado in a styrofoam container all of the juice leaks out all over the bag and everything else we ordered. This is the second time this has happened. Water tight containers please! Besides that, the food is delicious.

i loved the rice Platter Special (Rice, 1 Meat, 1 Salad) - ONE SERVING I got the poyo and the Ensalada de codito ( macaroni salad) 👍 definitely 5 stars on taste, expensive for one person but it's worth it!
