I ordered food from here while I was in town for a concert back in Nov. 2024. It's almost 3 months later and I'm still thinking about the best Half Fried Sweet Plantains I've ever had in my life and that incredible green sauce. I live in PA and I can't find anything CLOSE. Will definitely eat there anytime I am in Minneapolis, and recommend to everyone.

Brasa food never disappoints. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The black beans and yucca were cooked to perfection.

Individual items all together can be a little pricey but overall the flavor is nice. I've been searching for some decent collard greens, Mac, fish fry, etc. all southern food and this place is in my top 3 after looking in the Minneapolis area for a little under a year now. The mac is a loose, creamy type which I don't usually like but I was happily surprised. The creamy spinach wasn't super creamy but the flavor was great, I wouldn't consider it spicy at all though. I'll definitely order here again when I want a home cooked meal without the work. The Fish Bowl was delicious and not sloppy.

Every time I find myself in Minneapolis, I HAVE to get Brasa. It's always the first thing I do after the hotel check in. Ordered the Rotisserie Chicken Plate with Mac & Cheese and cornbread. Amazing. Chicken just falls apart, it's so perfectly cooked and seasoned.

Tiny 1 ounce chunks of 1pc Rotisserie Chicken for $4.50?!? LOL. At least most of the food tastes good. If you're very hungry and in the mood for chicken though, you're probably better off ordering from KFC.
