Brenda’s Oakland is my absolute favorite breakfast place ( their lunches are awesome as well!) they really go the extra mile when it comes to packing their food for delivery. I love ordering various sides and sauces along with my main dishes. My toddler just discovered grits, and Brenda‘s are her favorite! oh, and the fried chicken, amazing!mmm… and the biscuits, I always get an extra one❤️

I'm disappointed at the lack of flavor in everything I ordered. Cole Slaw Side tastes like nothing. Hushpuppies taste like nothing. The Side Blackened Tofu looks sloppy and horrible. The Potato Salad LARGE is MASHED. Never had mashed potato salad! The Vegan Fried Cauliflower is okay but without the side sauce (given with multiple items) it is also flavorless and for $12 I expect more! Would not order again.

The food is high quality and consistently so. This place has better breakfast with items you will not find elsewhere. The pork belly tastes great with no weird aftertaste. This is a true gem of a restaurant.

The Catfish & Grits is delicious, plentiful catfish and very creamy grits. Actually more fish than grits. The One Chocolate Beignet melts in your mouth.
