I have yet to find a decent BBQ spot in San Diego (Native NYer here). While the Beef Brisket (USDA Prime) was pretty decent , the Cornbread was unacceptable. I thought I was going to get atleast an attempt of "homemade" cornbread but I got a stale , tiny, scone instead. Macaroni & Cheese was a good attempt. 6.5/10 at best

The Beef Brisket (USDA Prime) photo is NOT an accurate depiction of what you receive. Additionally the Pork & Beans was "infant" sized for $5, certainly not a value addition to my order

Hit or miss on the beef ribs. Twice now they were overcooked, burnt, and looks like one rib has been eaten.

Brisket was cooked perfectly but they covered it up with an overly sweet bbq sauce and had very little "bark". Sauce always covers up shortcomings. In the south of the US this would be minimally acceptable. What they need to do is develop a really good dry rub and create a bark on the outside of the brisket that has a smoke ring. The onion rings were outstanding! They have those mastered.
