BUEN PROVECHO. BON APPETIT. ENJOY! LOCATED IN ALBUQUERQUE, NM, BUEN PROVECHO IS A PURVEYOR OF FINE COSTA RICAN DINING ALONG WITH VARIETY OF LATIN AMERICAN DISHES & DESSERTS. Originally from Costa Ric…
One of my favorite restaurants in Albuquerque. Portions are huge - I never finish my bowl - and the flavors are top notch. I love the Arroz Con Pollo bowl the yucca fries and the plantains the most - but literally everything on the menu is delish!

didn't ask me to replace the tamales i ordered so I only got half my order.. irritating.. but Authentic Costa Rican food that's actually good in Albuquerque. wow the Queso Empanadas are amazing. their pics is out of this world sweet and different. the hot sauce comes on slow but gets hotter and goes great with the sweet Pico. Plantains and rice are spectacular also.

Buen Provecho doesn't disappoint! Fresh food, cooked right before delivery! Tasty savory empanadas (beef/potato); the vegan dish is perfect for gluten free needs!!! If you haven't tried their tamales yet, you are missing out :)

I wanted to like this place. It's been on my list to try. I decided to order delivery. The portions looked huge on the menu picture (and should have been for the price). They even stated it was a large salad.
Instead, I got a box of food that fit in a box for a sandwich and a medium drink cup of salad (dressing in the top). White rice, small ramekin of squash, small ramekin of black beans and 2 tiny pathetic looking fried plantains. Total disappointment and not worth the money IMO. :(

This place takes such good care of me!
The food is consistently amazing, everything is always so well packaged and fresh. I love the arroz con pollo as a platter, all of the flavors just blow me away every time. Don't sleep on paying a little extra for the sides! Can't even handle how they make simple ingredients so complex and flavorful. The maduros are perfectly ripe and crispy, every time.
Today I also tried the beef and potato empanadas. They are absolutely perfect. The textures and flavors are so comforting and the accompanying hot sauce, slaw, and pico de gallo are all fire. I want that pico de gallo recipe, it's somehow more flavorful that any other recipe I've had in my city of Burque. My Costa Rican friends also love this place, if there was ever any question of authencity :)
