The food here is pretty good! The Fajita Burrito is HUGE and super filling, but it's definitely a lot of onions and peppers and it's not the easiest to eat. The New Carretas Sampler was a nice little variety if you want to try different things.

The steak Fajitas were seasoned well and there was a lot of meat. However, they only included 3 fajitas wraps. It should have been at least 6. There were also too many onions, it we just filler to make the plate look full. They included the lettuce, pico, sour cream and guac all in one container. There was no cheese.
The chicken Burrito Con Queso was good and they also included chips and salsa.

You guys made this man born in Texas happy. Enchiladas Potosinas were on point. Carne asada was delicious. Salsa test passed with flying colors. You can really judge a Mexican restaurant by its salsa. Y'all are awesome! Really hit the spot for an early birthday meal. Thanks Carreta's krewe! I can't live without real Mexican food. That ain't no life!

Carretas is the best hands down! Has been one of my favorite restaurants for 10+ years and it's only gotten better. I love anything with their shredded chicken and the Choriqueso and Carretas Cheese Dip! They have the best salsa too!

The Fried Quesadilla had a good taste despite containing very little meat. It was supposed to contain stea instead of chicken. The Tortilla Soup was good.
