Unfortunately the Mapo Tofu is not very authentic, the sauce is typically supposed to be more like soup and somewhat oily. It usually comes with ground pork as well. This is very much like a gravy. It is not spicy at all. The Tofu is very firm, I am accustomed to silken tofu. Very Different. Not bad but not great.
