• DoorDash orderWorth every scent of my money! I appreciate the detail put into the packaging . I recently ordered from another spot and my fish was so mushy from poor packaging. The greens turned out to be really good- I wasnt a fan at first bite. Mac and cheese AHmazing! Would def recc

• DoorDash orderEverything was great. The Jollof Rice Combo with Beef Suya was delicious with just the right amount of kick. The Mac and cheese is legit, no issues like I saw in other reviews. Even the Cornbread was moist and perfectly cooked. We are adding City Chef to our list of go-to restaurants in Bowie.

• DoorDash reviewOrdered for pick-up, the customer service was exceptional! The Mac n Cheese was delicious, flavorful and baked just how I like it. The fried Catfish was good and their orginal tartar sauce might be the best I've had. Will definitely be going back to try the Suya and Jollof rice because I've heard great things.

• DoorDash orderSamosas (3 Count) not pleasant very thick and hard pause, smoked wings were flavorless like smoke is great but salt and pepper wouldnt hurt. And " Grilled Vegetables " tur Ned out to be boiled apples and hard crunchy kale. Crazy. Used to be really good.

• DoorDash orderSomething has definitely changed! I tried this place around Christmas 2023 and was so impressed that I added it to my list of go-to BBQ spots. The Mac n cheese was some of the best I had ever had from a restaurant. The ribs were smoky, tender and finger licking good; greens nicely chopped and cooked with a tad of sugar--also some of the best from a restaurant; and the sweet potato pie was not as good as mine (grandma's recipe) but pretty darn good.
Well, the yum is over! Tried them two additional times in January 2024 and apparently they have changed chef's. What a disappointment. The ribs are no where near as tender, the mac n cheese was runny and a bright yellow (couldn't have been from scratch). The greens now have a weird sweet and sour taste and are cooked too long; my last order actually tasted scorched. The seafood platter had absolutely no seasoning; and the sweet potato pie was as dark as a pecan pie and tasted like and had the consistency of baby food. I paid upwards of $60 to be totally disappointed. Coudnt get my money back from DoorDash last night and the restaurant was closed otherwise I would
have returned every single item. Unless
they go back to the original chef l'm, done! I don't mind spending money for good food but I can't pay these prices for bad food. Im calling the store today to share my feedback and disappointment. I hope this review helps everyone- - store owner included.
