This was good enough that I'm considering ordering again within the week. The catfish was excellent, mac and cheese was delicious, hush puppies exactly as hoped for, and the fried pickle spears were perfection. Only minor complaints were slightly too salty fried okra and about 15-20% too little tartar sauce for 3 pieces of fish. Drinks were in cans which was a nice surprise.

prior to ordering I read many many reviews
both 1-2 star and 4-5 star. I'm not certain where the low star rating actually but Clara's Kitchen is a BIG 5 star. I ordered for delivery very late so I was hopeful the food would be fresh as well as hot, I also ordered a lot, so I would have several meals tomorrow. I'm basing my evaluation of the 3 Jalapeño Cornbreads & Cornbread on my recipe....for me, was a bit too dry (I'm very partial to my mom's Louisiana recipe she handed down to me.) OMG, the Oxtails w/rice was too die for - still very warm when delivered, tender, tasty, seasoned perfectly and just enough rice for every bit of OX tail. trust my ONLY COMPLAINT is the Peach Cobbler were delivered so piping hot fresh I'm having to put them in freezer for a bit to chill so i can eat it. Fried Pork Chop Plates I didn't try yet (meal for Friday) but peeked at it and looks fabulous. Will update Friday on taste. Greens & Cabbage were both hot and perfectly seasoned.

This is my second time eating here. The food is okay. Its decent. The Fried Pork Chop Plates I ordered the 1st time had two chops and the plate I ordered today only had one. The cabbages and okra were okay. Could be better. My second plate was the Catfish Plates. The fish was okay. The sides were fries and yams. The yams were better this time but the fries were nasty. They werent crinkle cut either. I tried the Mac and Creamy Mac and Cheese again and still feel the same. It was meh. Nothing fancy. Overall, I would wait the place a 7 out of 10

These plates are large portions and the pork chops was seasoned to perfection. I couldn't eat it all. My best friend had the rib plate of course I had to try the ribs they were very good and tender. Definitely returning

Clara's kitchen is CONSISTENTLY amazing! Fried Catfish Plates are always phenomenal and the 3 Cornbreads taste delicious and are very moist! Thank you Clara's!!!
