This is SOUL FOOD. You can taste the love in every bite as the layers of flavors give your taste buds a kiss. The Mac & Cheese is sooo comforting and the real cheese flavor HITS good. And I probably could eat a tray of Candied Yams by myself! They're not too sweet in the best kind of way. Garlic Mashed Potatoes mean GARLIC, and the gravy is peppery in a great way that's not overwhelming. Popeye's potatoes cry themselves to sleep idolizing mash like this.
So if it sounds good and you're considering ordering from here, DO IT. Can't recommend this food enough! <3

So... we stumbled across this great gem while looking for a late night meal. I am. so sick of the regular fast food options and to find Clara's is Iike a gift to me.
The food tastes just like my mama's used to.
The Mac n cheese is creamy and texture is definitely bakèď as it should be. but not like boxed or frozen. you can taste the love in this food. The beans, sweet potatoes and potato salad all have delicious seasonings and textures that make it be known they are homemade same goes for the mash and gravy. everything is flavorful and yummy.
We are already planning dinner tonight.
Try Clara's you won't regret it.

Delicious food!! Flavorful! The Smothered or Grilled Pork Chop Combo! (1) big pork chop or (2) small ones were fantastic along with the Kickin Special Greens Mac & Cheese . The Peach Cobbler was an absolute showstopper AMAZING

The Chitlins 16 ounce (Until I Sell Out) were so good and clean she def does a good job cleaning them they are worth every penny. The Kickin Special Greens are good of course overall 10/10!!

This meal was amazing! I was sick at home and needed something homie, and this is the best soul food I've had in San Diego. Plus, this is a small business, women owned, black owned. If that is not enough of a reason to support them instead of ordering from chains, trust me, the food is unmatched for this type of food you can order!
